Originally from Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, Andy studied art and photography going on to complete a Foundation Degree at Stroud College. Fascinated by colour, geometric shapes and tonal effects, his unique style developed, by enhancing his own photography, using intensely coloured triangles.
His portfolio ranges from impressionistic pieces to photo-realistic landscapes that appear purely pictorial from a distance, but reveal thousands of triangles upon closer inspection.
Every work (and triangle) is individually hand-drawn and coloured using a tablet and stylus. A detailed landscape will take up at least four weeks to complete!
He has completed a very popular series of all 5 Cinque Terre villages in Liguria, Italy, and is now embarking on a series of British landscapes and seascapes.
All his work is produced as Giclee prints in strictly Limited Editions, professionally printed using only archival quality paper and natural pigments.
Since becoming a full time professional artist a couple of years ago, Andy has been selected for exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery and the Chelsea College of Arts, London, as well as numerous Contemporary Art Fairs, Exhibitions and Festivals throughout the UK.
He had his debut Solo Exhibition in Brighton and is currently represented by the Marylebone Gallery, London.
Future plans include exhibiting in Art Fairs throughout the UK, France, Germany and Italy as well as the USA.
